The Central Lady Wildcats are off to their best start in program history, going 12-0 and dominating the competition with a combination of stifling defense and explosive offense.

Head Coach Angela Morrison has built a team that's clicking on all cylinders. The Lady Wildcats are averaging 72 points per game while holding opponents to just 48 points, a differential of 24 points that has left their competition searching for answers.

The Star Duo

Leading the charge are seniors Maya Johnson and Destiny Williams. Johnson, a 5'10" point guard, is averaging 18 points and 8 assists per game. Williams, the team's center, has been dominant in the paint with 15 points and 12 rebounds per contest.

"They've been playing together since they were in middle school," Coach Morrison said. "Their chemistry on the court is something special. They know where each other are going to be before they get there."

"We're not satisfied. We want to win it all this year. That's the goal from day one." — Maya Johnson

Road to the Championship

The Lady Wildcats' toughest tests lie ahead. Their conference schedule includes games against the second and third-ranked teams in the region, and the state tournament looms on the horizon.

But if their performance so far is any indication, this team has the talent and the mindset to make a deep playoff run. Their next game is December 20th against the Northside Lady Lions.
